New Hours and Procedures (enacted 5/17/08)

Wakeboarding and knee boarding have been eliminated on Pine Mountain Lake! While the PML Water Ski and Wakeboard Club is fighting to overturn this rule change, the PMLA Board voted to ban them at the May 17th, 2008 Board Meeting

 

Water skiing is prohibited November 1 through April 30. The speed limit for all boats during this time is 5 mph.

 

Reservations will be taken at the Marina Store (962-8631) up to 24 hours in advance and advanced reservations will be limited to one hour per day.  Additional slots may be reserved on the day of interest. You may call or walk-in for reservations. When time slots become full, a stand-by list will be taken.

On the Monday associated with the 3 three-day holiday weekends, wakeboarding will start at 4:00 P.M.

 

Unlike in the past, the evening "slots" are defined and enforced as wakeboard or skiing ony. No wakeboarding will be allowed in the water skiing only time slots and vice versa. The only blended evening hours are on Friday thru Sunday at 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

 

High-speed boating activities, wakeboarding or skiing, in the 9 am to 12 pm hours are not defined and will be worked out between the Marina Manager and the PML WWC.

Skiing and wakeboarding hours are as follows:

We try to reserve the calmest water for the diehard skiers, so typically the first and last hours of the day are ski only, the middle hours are mixed, and the last morning hour and first evening hour are wakeboard only.  However, everything is subject to change, so check with the Marina.  Also, please communicate special requests with your fellow water sports enthusiasts, we have found everyone to be very accommodating.

 

In addition to the above, on the 3-day holiday weekends during ski season, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day, morning ski times will run from 8:00 AM until 12:00 noon.

Reservations will be taken at the Marina Store (962-8631). You may call or walk-in (walk-in’s have first priority). Reservations will only be taken from one hour prior to the morning time and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. If twelve (or sixteen in the case of the three holiday weekends) people are in line prior to this time, the sign up sheet will be completed.  When time slots become full, a stand-by list will be taken. Skiing time will be limited to one (1) hour initially, and modified by the Lake Patrol and Marina Manager depending on the stand-by list.  This is a great time to meet your fellow club members.  In the morning bring your coffee and lounge chair, and meet some neat people.
